1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TheryMate platform (“Platform,” “Site,” or “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and TheryMate (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
 

2. Use of Platform

TheryMate is a mental health marketplace that lists qualified, independent psychologists and therapists. The Platform facilitates connections between users seeking mental health support and professionals offering counselling and therapy services. TheryMate does not directly provide any mental health treatment, counselling, therapy, or clinical services.

You may use the Platform to search for psychologists, view their profiles, submit booking requests, and access information about mental health services. Any therapeutic or counselling relationship is formed solely between you and the independent psychologist or therapist, not with TheryMate.

3. User Responsibilities

When using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when submitting forms or booking requests.

• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

• Not misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.

• Not use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm any psychologist, professional, or other user.

• Not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform.

• Not scrape, copy, or reproduce any content from the Platform without our express written permission.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Psychologist Listings

Psychologists listed on TheryMate are independent professionals who have applied for and been approved for listing on the Platform. We make reasonable efforts to verify the credentials and registration details of listed professionals; however, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any information provided by psychologists.

Psychologists retain full autonomy over their consultation fees, session durations, scheduling, therapeutic methodologies, and client relationships. TheryMate does not interfere with, supervise, or take responsibility for the clinical decisions or professional conduct of listed psychologists.

If you have concerns about the conduct of a psychologist encountered through the Platform, you should report this to the relevant professional regulatory body and contact us so we can take appropriate action regarding the listing.

5. Booking Requests

Submitting a booking request through the Platform does not constitute a confirmed appointment. A booking request is a communication of your intent to seek a session with a particular psychologist. The psychologist will contact you directly to confirm availability, agree on session details, and finalise the appointment.

TheryMate is not responsible for the confirmation, rescheduling, or cancellation of appointments. Any disputes regarding appointments, availability, or session delivery are to be resolved directly between you and the psychologist concerned.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

TheryMate is a listing and referral platform. We do not process payments for therapy sessions, and we do not handle funds on behalf of users or psychologists. All session fees are agreed upon directly between the user and the psychologist and are paid directly to the psychologist through their preferred payment method.

Psychologists listed on the Platform pay a monthly subscription fee to TheryMate for their professional listing and associated services. This subscription covers platform visibility, client referrals, and backend support. TheryMate does not collect any commission from therapy sessions conducted through the Platform.

Additional promotional services, such as social media posts or featured listings, may be offered at separate advertised rates. All subscription payments are subject to TheryMate's billing terms communicated to psychologists separately.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

The Platform and all content therein are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TheryMate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

TheryMate is not liable for the professional conduct, clinical decisions, advice, or outcomes of any psychologist or therapist listed on the Platform. Users engage with psychologists at their own discretion and risk.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of TheryMate or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Psychologists who submit application materials or profile content to the Platform grant TheryMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful behaviour, or if required to do so by law.

Psychologist listings may be suspended or removed if a psychologist fails to renew their subscription, if their credentials cannot be verified, or if they breach these Terms or applicable professional standards.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
